In the Kursk region, it was created on the basis of the Decree of the Administration of the Kursk Region dated October 29, 2018 No. 853-PA “On the implementation of measures to create and functioning the regional center for identifying and supporting gifted children” in accordance with the instructions of the President of the Russian Federation in accordance with the federal project “Success of each child” National Project Education as a structural unit of the ilty boarding school No. 1 of Kursk. The purpose of the center is the identification, development and support of gifted children, ensuring the continuity of the development system of their intellectual and creative potential. The center was created taking into account the experience of the Fund for the creation and development of the Sirius educational center and taking into account the specifics and priorities of the development of the Kursk region in the field of education, science, sports and art. The opening ceremony of the center took place on December 30, 2019. But even before the official opening, the center began its work. In the 2019-2020 academic year, 72 copyright programs were implemented, according to which more than 5 thousand schoolchildren were trained in full-time and remote format. Educational and career guidance measures were carried out. In the 2020-2021 academic year, the implementation of several types of programs for gifted children continued in the center: short-term programs as part of specialized shifts; Olympiad training programs; multi -level programs implemented as part of support for the development of gifted children; thematic modular programs; Programs implemented using distance technologies. In addition, students are waiting for diverse educational and career guidance measures.
