According to the press service of the company, the existing 300-meter pier No. 51 of the third stage of the specialized coal complex will be extended, from where there is a closed sealed loading of coal into the holds of the vessels.

The project provides for the construction of a pier with a width of 24 meters with berths No. 52 and No. 52a. On this site, it is planned to place the strip stationary conveyors with drive stations for supplying coal to ship -loading machines (SPM), as well as lay rails for the movement of SPM along the pier.

When the project is implemented, the length of the mooring front will reach 697.5 meters, and the calculated throughput, taking into account the cargo turnover of the current berth – No. 51-21.8 million tons per year. The modernized infrastructure of the East Port will serve 337 shipping per year. The depths of the berths No. 51 and No. 52 will be 16.5 meters with the subsequent increase to 18 meters, as well as the dredging of the approximate channel and the maneuvering zone of two moorings to a design depth of 19 meters, which has no analogues in the region.

The work is aimed at increasing deliveries to the market of the Asia -Pacific countries, which is the most promising area of ​​export of Russian coal. In accordance with the order of the President of the Russian Federation, to ensure uninterrupted export of coal from the regions of Western Siberia, Khakassia, Buryatia and Yakutia to the ports of the Pacific coast of Russia – by 2024, the capacity of BAM and Trans -Siberian Railway will increase to 180 million tons – and the framework of the development of the II stage of development of the eastern training ground . Within the framework of the III stage, the volume of cargo turnover will grow to 197 million tons by 2028, to 210 – by 2030 and to 242 – by 2035.

Vostochny Port JSC increases its own port capacities synchronously with Russian Railways. According to the results of the implementation of the project for the construction of new cargo berths, they will grow to 70 million tons.
