How to return the bought railway ticket?

Any railway bought on tutu.ru can be handed over in accordance with the Railways rules.

The return is carried out right in the personal account of Tutu.ru or at the railway ticket offices.

If you paid for an electronic railway ticket with a bank card, the money will be returned to the same card.

Upon delivery of the ticket purchased, service fees and commissions are not returned, and the Russian Railways additionally charges a recovery.

General losses when renting a ticket depend on the amount and method of payment. About 500 rubles are held on average for one rented ticket.

When the ticket is returned less than 8 hours before the train departure, the Railways fines increase significantly.

Can I pay a ticket with a card? Is it safe?

Oh sure. Payment occurs through the payment gateway of the Gateline.net processing center. All data is transmitted through the protected channel.

Gateline.net gateway was developed in accordance with the requirements of the PCI DSS International Security Standard. The software of the gateway successfully took an audit according to 3.1.

Almost all railway agencies on the Internet work through this gateway.

What is an electronic ticket and electronic registration?

Buying an electronic ticket on tutu.ru is a modern and quick way to draw up a travel document without the participation of a cashier or operator.

When buying an electronic railway ticket, places are redeemed immediately, at the time of payment.

After payment for landing on the train, you need:

  • or pass electronic registration;
  • Or print a ticket at the station.

Electronic registration Not available for all orders. If registration is available, it can be completed by clicking on the appropriate button on our website. You will see this button immediately after payment. You will then need your original ID and a printout of your boarding pass to board the train. Some conductors do not require a printout, but it's better not to risk it.

Print e-ticket you can at any time before the train departure at the box office at the station or at the self-registration terminal. To do this, you need a 14-digit order code (you will receive it by SMS after payment) and the original ID.

Is the information on the site up to date?

We are confident in the accuracy of our information, because the same data from the Express-3 ACS is now seen by the cashier at the station.

Traveling to Belarus by train

The neighboring friendly republic attracts many Russian travelers. Prices for tickets and hotel accommodation in Belarus are relatively low, while the country has something to see. Tourists from Russia often go to Minsk, Belovezhskaya Pushcha (where children are especially interested in the estate of Father Frost in winter), Brest, Grodno, Nesvizh with its beautiful castle and other cities and national parks. In addition, entry to Belarus is visa-free for Russian citizens (read more about this below).

In addition, Belarus can be called Russia's gateway to Europe: from Minsk you can conveniently and inexpensively travel to Prague, Warsaw, Vilnius, Berlin and other foreign cities.

Regular trains run to Belarus from many Russian regions. So, trains run from Siberia to Brest, and from Sochi you can get to Minsk. Perhaps the most convenient way to get there is from Moscow, from where about a dozen trains leave every day.

What documents are needed to travel to Belarus

Russians do not need a visa to Belarus: citizens of the Russian Federation can stay in the republic for 90 days as part of a temporary stay, and no additional documents need to be issued. Russians do not even have to register at the place of stay, like other foreign citizens.

If you are going to Belarus for longer than 3 months, you will have to issue a temporary residence permit. To do this, you need to contact the office of citizenship and migration in Belarus.

You do not need a foreign passport to enter, a Russian one is enough. You don't have to fill out a migration card either. It is not necessary to buy medical insurance, but it is advisable to purchase it for your own safety: in Belarusian hospitals, only emergency care will be provided free of charge.

There is no border control on the Russian-Belarusian border: it was canceled back in 1995 after the signing of the Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation between the two countries. So the border guards most likely will not disturb you while traveling by train. However, in any case, you need to have a passport (Russian or foreign) and birth certificates of children with you if you are traveling with them.

How long does it take to get to Belarus by train?

Of course, it depends on where and where exactly you are going. In general, from the border with Russia to, for example, Minsk, about 260 km.

Below we will discuss particular cases in more detail.

From Moscow

A dozen trains depart from Moscow to Belarus every day. There are trains that go only to the capital of the republic, but you can get to Minsk, for example, by taking a train to Berlin, Kaliningrad, Grodno or Brest.

Trains in the direction of Belarus depart from the Belorussky railway station every 2-3 hours. The minimum travel time to Minsk is 7 hours 10 minutes (by high-speed train to Berlin). The distance between Moscow and Minsk is 750 km, and on average a train to the capital of Belarus takes from 9 to 10 hours. From Moscow to Brest can be reached in 12 hours, to Grodno – in 15 and a half hours.

From St. Petersburg

There are fewer trains from the northern capital to Belarus than from Moscow. Two trains usually leave per day, one of which goes to Brest, and the other to Grodno.

Trains leave daily from the Vitebsk station, depart in the afternoon and evening. From St. Petersburg to Minsk 13-14 hours on the way. The train goes to Brest for 17 and a half hours, to Grodno – 20 hours and 40 minutes.

From Nizhny Novgorod

There is one train from Nizhny Novgorod to Minsk, it departs on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. This is a transit train from Novosibirsk, which follows to the capital of Belarus. Travel time is 17 hours.

The train from Nizhny Novgorod to Brest departs on Sundays, it goes through Moscow. Travel time is 22 hours. On other days, the most convenient option is to get to Moscow by train (to the Kursky railway station), transfer to the Belorussky railway station and take the Moscow-Brest ticket.

Trains do not run to Grodno from Nizhny Novgorod, you can only get there with a transfer – the most convenient way is through Moscow.

You can get on a high-speed swallow from Moscow to Minsk and back at three rates.

Ticket prices are as follows:

  • base (2F) — from 1413 rubles (50 BYN)
  • economy (2Р) — from 1472 rubles (51 BYN)
  • business (1Р) — from 3920 rubles (138 BYN)

Tickets went on sale from April 15, 2021.

What is the difference between Lastochka Moscow – Minsk fares:

  • base class – standard ticket, animals can be transported in the car
  • economy class – there is wi-fi and sockets, the transport of animals is prohibited, they issue a sanitary kit
  • business class – everything that is in the economy + leather armchairs; Meals are included in the ticket price.

Cost per stop

The minimum price of tickets between any stops Lastochka between Moscow and Minsk:

From where to where Moscow Vyazma Smolensk Orsha Minsk
Moscow 486₽ 664 ₽ 1188 ₽ 1413 ₽
Vyazma 486 ₽ 445 ₽ 777 ₽ 1007 ₽
Smolensk 664 ₽ 445 ₽ 531 ₽ 756 ₽
Orsha 1188 ₽ 777 ₽ 531 ₽ 389 ₽
Minsk 1413 ₽ 1007 ₽ 756 ₽ 389 ₽

There are only 12 business class seats in each Swallow. Business class tickets cost about 3 times more than regular ones.

What are the benefits of business class:

  • more comfortable leather seats (the backs do not recline)
  • Meals included in ticket price
  • unlimited coffee and tea

Separately, I want to note the food in the business class. The food is quite good and tasty. Business class passengers can choose from several options for lunch or dinner.

For example, here is the composition of one of the food options (included in ticket price):

  • chicken roll with cheese and carrots
  • chicken breast with mashed potatoes, spinach and vegetable saute
  • soufflé Bird's milk for dessert

Photos of food and a description of the trip can be found in this article on the website onliner.by.

Should I choose business class?

It’s worth buying business class tickets if you don’t feel comfortable riding regular seats for seven hours in a row.

The Internet works the same as on the rest of the train, and the meals and unlimited coffee included in the price are hardly worth the extra 2,500 rubles.

There are few business class seats in Lastochka Moscow-Minsk, and they are quickly taken apart. So if you are going to buy such tickets, then do not delay with the purchase.

According to the law, a PCR test for coronavirus is required to cross the border between Russia and Belarus (that is, it is required for Lastochka Moscow-Minsk). Here is a link to the official document.

But according to the reviews of passengers, both conductors and border guards check it quite rarely. Doing a covid test for a trip on a Swallow or not is up to you.

In Moscow and the Moscow Region, it is convenient to search for a suitable laboratory for taking a PCR test for coronavirus through a special online service – it will show the nearest clinics and the cost of the analysis. There you can immediately sign up for a certain time at the right clinic, so as not to wait in line with a bunch of people.

A few recommendations for those who are going to use the Lastochka to get from Moscow to Minsk or vice versa:

  • buy tickets in advance (a few weeks before the trip) – the route is popular; it often happens that all places for the next dates are already sold out
  • take food with you – only snacks can be purchased on the train, so for a long trip it is better to take something for a snack (for example, sandwiches, fruits, nuts)
  • take care of entertainment – Internet in Swallow does not work well; take a book with you or download movies/series in advance
  • don't forget the PCR test, now it is required to enter Belarus

Route of the morning swallow, departure at 06:20:

Moscow (Belorussky railway station) → Smolensk → Orsha → Minsk

Route and stops of the day swallow (departure at 16:00):

Moscow Belorusskaya → Vyazma → Smolensk → Orsha → Minsk

Passenger reviews about the Lastochka train on the Moscow-Minsk route were analyzed.

What we liked:

  • you can quickly and cheaply get between the capitals of Russia and Belarus
  • train rides very smoothly (no shaking) and quiet
  • good service and friendly staff

What were the passengers of the Swallow dissatisfied with:

  • uncomfortable seats in economy class, do not recline
  • wifi is unstable
  • small selection of food (mostly snacks and cookies) and drinks

Video review of one of the passengers about the Lastochka from Minsk:

A ticket can be bought online on the official website or in the Russian Railways mobile application, on the website of the Belarusian Railways (BZD), as well as on one of the railway ticket aggregators (for example, Poezd.ru Tutu.ru). You can also buy tickets for the swallow at the Russian Railways ticket offices in Moscow, ticket offices in Minsk and at stops along the route. Tickets go on sale 60 days before the train's departure.

The train runs twice a day: 06:20 → 13:10/13:17 and 16:00 → 22:55

According to this schedule, swallows depart both from Moscow and Minsk.

The sale of tickets for the Moscow-Minsk swallow officially began on April 15, 2021.

The ticket price is from 1413 rubles (50 BYN) for a regular ticket and from 3920 rubles (138 BYN) for a business class ticket with leather seats and meals.

The train departing at 06:20 makes stops in Smolensk and Orsha.

The speedy swallow departing at 16:00 stops in Vyazma, Smolensk and Orsha.

Citizens of the Russian Federation over 6 years old need a negative PCR test for coronavirus to enter the Republic of Belarus (document).

All passengers entering Russia by rail must provide a negative PCR test for COVID-19 no older than 3 days.

That is, by law, a test is required. But according to the reviews of many passengers, the test for covid was never checked. If you are planning to do a pcr test for covid, you can find the nearest convenient clinic through a special service (for residents of Russia).

Rules for entry into Belarus for Russians in 2021

This article was updated on 12/17/2021.

You can fly to Belarus from a dozen Russian cities.

Through Minsk, many fly to Georgia, with which Russia has stopped regular flights. Belarus is also one of the few countries where trains from Russia run during the pandemic.

To enter Belarus, you do not need a visa and a passport, a PCR test or a vaccination certificate is enough. I will tell you in more detail how to enter Belarus and what restrictions apply there.

What documents are needed for the trip

Russians can enter Belarus without a visa using an internal or foreign passport. You can stay in the country for up to 90 days.

If a traveler travels in transit through Belarus and stays in the country for less than 24 hours, he does not need to take PCR tests or present additional documents.Other citizens of Russia over 5 years old will need a vaccination certificate or a certificate with a negative PCR test result for coronavirus to enter Belarus. There are no concessions for those who have been ill.

Coronavirus test handed over within 3 days before the trip. Russians present the result through the application I travel without COVID-19.

Citizens of Belarus, foreigners with a permit for temporary or permanent residence, and vaccinated tourists are exempt from tests.

Vaccination course must be completed at least one month before arrival in Belarus. The certificate is valid for 12 months. At the border, the original or a copy of the supporting document is presented. It indicates the last name, first name, patronymic of the traveler and the end date of the vaccination course. The certificate is accepted only in printed form in Belarusian, Russian or English.

Growth in sales of vaccination tours abroad is expected from mid-January 2022

Russians vaccinated with foreign vaccines will be able to receive QR code from the State Services after passing the antibody test. Tour operators told how this will change the demand in Russia for vaccination tours abroad. We also found out how much these trips cost.

Russian citizens who have been vaccinated abroad with foreign vaccines will be able to receive a Russian certificate (QR-code) of vaccination for a period of six months after passing an antibody test, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova said on Monday in the State Duma.

At the same time, Ms. Golikova stressed that Russia continues negotiations with the EU on the mutual recognition of vaccine certificates. If these negotiations are successful, foreign vaccination documents will be accepted in the Russian Federation along with Russian ones.

DEMAND FOR VACATION TOURS WILL ONLY GROW

According to tour operators, the opportunity for those vaccinated with foreign drugs against COVID-19 to also receive a Russian vaccination will stimulate the demand for vaccination tours abroad.

According to Russian Express experts, the demand for vaccination tours to Europe may grow from 30 to 50%. The tour operator companies BSI Group, VEDI GROUP, PAX and PAC Group also predict an increase in interest in such trips.

Rules for entry into Armenia for Russians due to coronavirus in December 2022: do I need a PCR test and a certificate of vaccination

As participants in the tourism market explain, the decision of the Russian authorities to issue QR codes “for antibodies” to those who are vaccinated with foreign drugs expands the opportunities for such Russians and makes their life much easier.

On the one hand, they will be able to move freely around the world, and on the other hand, they will be able to freely use tourist services and visit museums, restaurants, shopping centers and other public places within Russia without restrictions (against the background of fears of the widespread introduction of QR codes, this is especially important).

And if earlier, in order to receive the Russian QR code, they again had to go to be vaccinated (which many are wary of, since the consequences of the “mix” of vaccines are not fully understood), now it will be enough just to do an antibody test.

WHO NEED FOREIGN VACATION AND WHY

It must be understood that those Russians who choose to be vaccinated with foreign drugs and go on “vaccination tours” to Europe do this not at all because of distrust of Russian vaccines or an opinion about the special protective properties of Pfizer or Astra Zeneka (maybe such people and there is, but this motive is extremely rare).

The primary and main interest to get vaccinated with a non-Russian vaccine and go on a special “vaccination tour” for this is the opportunity to go on vacation to Europe, the USA, and other countries where Sputnik V is not yet recognized.

The BSI Group explains that two main groups of citizens living in Russia are vaccinated with foreign drugs.

The first is those who need unhindered movement around the world due to various “non-tourist” circumstances: for work, business, education, health or family issues.

The second group is tourists who want or can go to Europe on vacation, including to countries closed to tourism (through various channels, for example, through family or business invitations).

Entry into these countries is not even the main problem. The problem is free rest inside them. Recall that in most EU countries you need a Green Pass to visit public places. Otherwise, tourists will not be accommodated in a hotel, they will not be allowed into a restaurant or other establishments. To obtain a Green Pass, you also need a “Western” vaccine, since Russian ones are not recognized.

So, in the PAC Group they say that in this autumn-winter season vaccination tours have become very popular among those skiers who can somehow come to the Alpine resorts.

INCREASING DEMAND FOR VACCINE TOURS IS EXPECTED FROM THE MID-JANUARY

According to the experts of the Russian Express tour operator, as of mid-December, the demand for vaccination tours abroad has stabilized.

This is due both to the expectations of the possible recognition by the WHO of the domestic drug Sputnik V, and to the approaching New Year holidays, during which vaccine stations in Europe either do not work at full capacity or are completely closed. Russian Express expects another round of demand for vaccine tours after January 10.

BSI Group specialists adhere to similar assessments. In their opinion, due to the approach of the Christmas holidays in Europe and the New Year holidays in Russia, interest in vaccination tours has even slightly decreased, but will increase from January 15-20.

WHICH COUNTRIES GO FOR VACCINATION

The TOP of popular destinations for obtaining a foreign vaccine includes European destinations that you can enter without a visa, as well as countries that issue tourist visas to Russians.

The top three destinations are Serbia (Pfizer, AstraZeneca, Sinopharm), Croatia (Johnson Johnson, Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca), Bulgaria (Johnson Johnson, Pfizer).

When booking a tour Serbia it is possible to receive official confirmation of an appointment for vaccination with a specific drug from the list. This will require confirmation of hotel reservations in the country and an appointment through a tour operator for vaccination.

There are myths among tourists about some kind of “inferiority” of Serbian vaccine certificates, but these are just myths. Validity: Since November 15, Serbia has joined the EUDCC certificate system. Their national certificates are recognized in the EU.

AT Croatia Pre-registration for vaccination is not required. In this country, a European certificate of vaccination with a QR code in English can be requested no earlier than 15 days after vaccination with a one-component Johnson Johnson vaccine and 22 days after receiving the first dose of a two-component vaccine (Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca).

They sell vaccination tours in Russia to other European countries. For example, the tour operator Pax is in demand by trips for vaccines also in Slovenia (Pfizer, Moderna, Astra Zeneca), and Greece (Pfizer, Moderna, Johnson Johnson).

In the top list, by the number of requests for “vaccination tours”, the tour operator KMP Group, in addition to Croatia and Greece, is also included Germany (Pfizer/Biontech, Johnson Johnson), but only visa owners are available there.

Tour operators explain the growth of interest in vaccination tours to Greece by the opportunity to guarantee tourists a specific vaccine. Thus, Russians can choose what exactly they want to get used to: two -component (Pfizer/Biontech and Moderna) or a one -component Johnson Johnson vaccine

Note that the one -component Johnson Johnson vaccine (aka Janssen) is offered in Croatia, Bulgaria, Greece and Germany. The ability to make one vaccine (which means not to travel to two rounds or a long tour) previously attracted many Russians who specifically searched for tours for Johnson Johnson.

However, against the background of the fact that European countries began to reduce the validity of vaccine certificates, and some of them now require a second vaccine vaccinated from vaccinated vaccine (Green Pass will call), now the decision to vaccinate Johnson Johnson does not look as profitable as previously .
