Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Poland Pavel Yablonsky called on the European Union to give Belarus an alternative to cooperation with Russia, reports Polska Agencja Prasowa.

The representative of the Polish Foreign Ministry noted that the European Alliance should not be limited only to statements and ideas about sanctions. According to Yablonsky, the European Union should “give something more”, namely, to offer cooperation, which can become an alternative to Russian.

“A specific proposal for such cooperation with Europe should appear, as this is the only way to encourage Belarusians,” said the diplomat. In his opinion, this will also allow President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko to sit at the negotiating table with the opposition.
