The hospitable Palace of Sports Luzhniki opens its doors for children from Volgograd, Murmansk, Novorossiysk, St. Petersburg, Sevastopol, Smolensk, Tula, Brest, Minsk and, of course, Moscow. Competitions in several sports will allow young participants to demonstrate their level of physical training and skill in the struggle for prizes.
The development of children and youth sports, the patriotic education of the younger generation, based on rich domestic traditions, is of great importance for the well-being and prosperity of the Union State.
I am sure that the games will be held with great success, will contribute to the further popularization of an active lifestyle among children and young people and strengthening the friendship of the fraternal peoples of Russia and Belarus.

From April 29 to May 4, the XXI International Sports Games of Children of Gero Cities are held at the Luzhniki Sports Palace.
The event is attended by more than 300 participants from 10 cities of Russia and Belarus, awarded the highest degree of distinction for heroic defense during the Great Patriotic War: Volgograd, Moscow, Murmansk, Novorossiysk, St. Petersburg, Sevastopol, Smolensk, Tula, Brest and Minsk.
They will compete in five disciplines: mini-football, streetball, table tennis, sambo and chess.
It should be noted that one of the four days of the Games program will be devoted to the historical heritage of Russia: on May 2, participants will go to the Alexander Garden to lay wreaths to the grave of an unknown soldier and baskets with flowers at the steles of heroic cities near the Kremlin wall.
