Commenting on the difficulty that arose in cooperation, Slutsky was not careful in expressions:

The emotional statement of Leonid Slutsky was commented at the club. The Director General of FC Rotor Andrei Riverchinsky recalled that the Volgograd club is a budget institution where very strict control over money is established.
“With all due respect to Leonid Viktorovich, during his long football career he worked mainly in private organizations and does not understand the interaction with the budget structure,” the “Soviet sport” quotes the riverchinsky. – According to the law, a state institution must comply with the procedure for procurement of goods and services, follow the training standards approved by the Government of the Russian Federation.
Riverchinsky recalled that earlier between the Rotor and Slutsky there was already misunderstanding about the training process. This time, the coach’s discontent caused the fact that the Rotor school poorly supplied the pupils with the inventory, the children allegedly trained balls purchased by Slutsky for their academy.
“Leonid Viktorovich is mistaken, believing that the“ rotor ”did not invest in the development of pupils who have passed from Slutsky’s school,” continues Riverchinsky. – During the year of work from the budget funds for the maintenance of young athletes of this school, about 10 million rubles were spent on the acquisition of form, inventory, insurance, and rental of fields. Maybe Slutsky was misled, but coaching licenses also paid for the club.
Slutsky also commented on a sharp statement in the Russian football union. Member of the RFU Ethics Committee Andrei Sizin is convinced that Leonid Slutsky is doing an important thing, developing children's football in his hometown, but does not own knowledge how to organize the work of the school.
– But next to Slutsky there is no person who would explain how to do it correctly. He violates some rules of the game that the RFU established – either he does not know, or does not want to know this, – Zozin quotes the publication “Sport day after day”. – Slutsky is an intelligent person, and his emotional statement does not paint him. I’ll say for sure: he does not fully possess precise knowledge how to organize the work of a football school.
Andrei Sozin also stated that he was supported by the head of the regulation department. The functionary said that in the conflict of Slutsky with the rotor not everything is as unambiguous as the famous coach imagines.
